“I know what it means when a Wagonwalker’s eyes turn like milky glass. Second sight, right? You’re going to tell me about my awful future.” Anno broke into an open sneer. “The wages of sin, and all that?”

“Worse,” said Granny. “My Sight looks backwards.” She smiled, the smile slow and spreading, like oil on a pond. Her voice took on a cozy note. “We’re going to talk about your past.”
